AIR SERVICES.

THE METEOROLOGICAL ASPECT, (Per Press Association ! WELLINGTON, Nov. 24. Mr E. Entwhistle, of London (Superintendent of Meteorological Services for Imperial Airways), arrived by the Wanganella to attend the Meteorological Aviation Conference. He travelled as far as Sydney by air in five different ’planes. Ho said that whereas the sercise is now by land ’plane's with no night Hying, ilie service to be inaugurated with flying-boats would lie night and day. Different routes from the p,resent would ho used. All this meant plenty of work for meteorologists, who had to prepare the way for regular living by establishing a net-work of stations. .Mr E. lOnl whistle said the problems of the Tasman were very similar to those of the North Atlantic, but wore free from such aspects as ice formation on craft. Mr Entwhistle will return to Australia after the Conference to confer with the Commonwealth Weather Bureau, and will then go to Canada to discuss with experts the results of the flights and observations made.
