McGRATH IN HOSPITAL.

INFECTION OF THE THROAT.

V. B. McGrath has been taken to the Cowdray Sanatorium because of infection of the throat. The captain of the Australian Davis Cup team, C. E. Sproule, who is remaining in Mexico City, said he hoped McGrath would recover in a few days.

J. Crawford, A. K. Quist, and J. Bromwich left for San Antonio (Texas) where they will play exhibition games and await word of McGrath.

Mr Sproule said: “McGrath has fever and is feeling depressed. His condition is not alarming.”
