TWENTY HOURS’ FIGHT

JAPANESE AND SOVIET GUARDS.

MOSCOW REPORTS ATTACK. (United Press Association—Copyright.) MOSCOW, February 18. It is officially reported that 500 Japanese, armed with 18 machine-guns, attacked 35 Soviet border guards near Lake Khana. The Soviet guard held off the attackers for over 20 hours. The casualties are not stated.
