FRENCH TEXTILES.
THREAT TO THE INDUSTRY. (United Press Association—Copyright.) LONDON, February 18. Tire ' Lille correspondent, of “ Tlie Times” • states that great anxiety is felt at Lille, Jtoirbaix and Tourcoing, as the textile industry is threatened with stagnation owing to the rise in costs of (production, due to the 40-hour-week practically preventing the export of French textiles, while Belgians and Czechoslovakians are selling at from 10 to 20 per cent, below the French, owing to the removal of tariffs and quotas.
