FOR THE CORONATION

CONTINGENT FROM NEW ZEALAND. FIRST NAMES ANNOUNCED. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Minister for Defence (the Hon. F. Jones) announces that subject to their passing the final examination, the following have been selected to represent the New Zealand Territorial Forces in the Coronation contingent :—• Major Leckie, Capt. Fiickleton, V.C., Capt. Garruth, Lieut. D. Sweetzer, Lieut. R. AV. Haddow, Lieut. A. A. Tennant, Flying Officer D. E. Grigg. The men are as follows:

Mounted Rifles—D. 0. Watson (North Auckland), 11. J. Harris, D. Wickliffe (Auckland-East Coast), L. PI. Bregmen (Waikato), K. J. Murray (Wellington-West Coast), I. B. Gibbs (Manawatu), R. H. Matthews (Wel-lington-East Coast), G. T. Hoare (Nelson-Marlborough), A. H. C. Nutt (Canterbury Yeomanry), R. Tall (Otago). Artillery—W. J. Grant, W. P, Aperahama (21st . Field Battery), J. A. Boyd (17th Battery), L. G. Hodge (12th Battery).

Infantry—H. D. Walters (North Auckland), PI. D. Lysnar (Auckland), J. Young (Hauraki), A. H. Boulton (Waikato), PI. J. Calgher (Taranaki), R. Miles (Wellington-West Coast), R. Heiford (Hawke’s Bay), C. James (Wellington), H. G. Williams (Ncl-son-Marlborough-West Coast), F. A. Gunn (Canterbury), R. Hunter (Otago), A. G. McGregor (Southland). Engineers—N. W. Sarney (Ist Field Company, Signal Corps), C. W. Carter (Southern Depot, Army Service), W. R. Arlow (2nd Composite Company). The contingent will go into camp on February 26, and is due to sail by the Ilangitikei on March 11. Representatives of the regular forces have still to be selected, and a ballot is to be held to decide two nurses.

These names will be announced later, with the names of the ten returned soldiers, not members of the Territorial forces.
