Major J. S- Courtault, a Conservative member of the House of Commons, initiated a new experiment in addressing his electorate by telephone. He spoke from the House, his voice being amplified through loud-speakers in Chichester.
It is expected that the idea, will bo developed in elections to save members of the House from rushing over their constituencies and spending only a few minutes at each meeting.
