PERSONAL.
Sir Bobcrt A. Anderson, of Invercargill, passed through Ashburton on the south-bound express this morning.
Dr. N. E. H. Fulton will leave for Wellington this evening to attend the annual conference of the New Zeaalnd branch of the British Medical Association. He will be accompanied by Mrs Fulton and will return to Ashburton at the end of .next week.
At the meeting of the Canterbury Education Board yesterday the following appointments to schools were conferred : —Westerfield: Miss R. Morris. Windwhistle: Mr C. S. Atkinson. The following resignations were received and accepted:—Allentcn: Miss M. Coote. Ashburton East: Mr D. F. Macdonald. Dorie, Miss M. S. Ijonie. Lauriston : Miss O. Hartland. Seafield: Mr G. F. Brown. Westerfield: Mr J. MacMillan.
