PIGS AND IP‘OULTRY. . PRICE-S RULING‘ TO-DAY. Prices ruling at the weekly sales of pigs and poultry in Ashburton to-day were :—«— Pigs—Heavy bac-e-ners, £3 33 to £3 93 6d: light baconers, £2 78 (id to, £2 17s 6d; porkers, 255 6d to 26s 6d; stores, 14s 6d to 245 6d; weaners and slips, 85 to 13s, Poultry—Hens, 23 10:1 to .3s 4d; roosters, 23 1d to 4s sd. PROPERTIES PASSED IN. The Lanriston property known as‘ “Sherwood,” owaied by the late LII“ \Valter Lethagn, was offered for sale. by auction by Messrs Pyne, Gould, Guinness, LtLL, this_afternoon, but it was passed in. The farm was put up in three blocks. The first, the homestead block, com—prising 613 acres 3 roods 31 perches, with an eight—roamed house and other outbuildings, start-ed at £7, went to £B. £9, and was passed in at £9 105. Block two, 135 acres 2 reeds, started ‘ at £7 after an offer of £5 had been deelined, went to £7 10s, and was passed in at £B. 1 There were only two bids for block three (59 acres 3 mods 37 perches), ’ these being £7 and £7 10s, and this, . also, was passed in.
