WOMAN FOUND DROWNED. (Per Press Association). BLENHEIM, This Day. Mrs Kate Gillett, aged 61, wife of Mr C. F. GiUett, a grocer, was found drowned in the Opawa River. She had been in ill-health for some time, suffering from nervous trouble. WOMAN'S TRAGIC END. DUNEDIN, This Day. Admitted to the hospital on Saturday afternoon with a wound .in her throat, Miss Eliza Kent Coreston, aged 69, died yesterday. She was found in a yard with her .throat cut and she also attempted to inflict further injury with a knife. At the inquest, deceased's brother said she had been mentally affected during the last six months. The inquest was adjourned.
