AUCKLAND TROTTING CLUB. BINGEN CHIEF WINS HANDICAP. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, March 23. There was a fair attendance at the Auckland Trotting Club's autumn meeting held at Alexander Park today The weather was delightfully lino and the track fast. The totahsatoi handled £16,889 10s, compared with £20,123 10s last year, a decrease ot £3234 Last year's programme comprised eight races and only seven were run to-day:— Concluding results:— Fergusson Handicap, ot 225 sovs; two miles.—l (1) Bingen Chief (J. Cockbill) 1, 4 (4) Pukemiro 2, 8 (9) Manco 3. Won by two lengths, lime, 4 37. Whitford Handicap, of 140 sovs; one mile and a half.—l (1) Te Kahu (R, A. McMillan) 1,2 (3) Mute 2, 4 (5) Manna's Son 3. Won by a length and a half. Time, 3.32 3-5. March Handicap, of 120 sovs; one mile and a half.—l (1) Wmaway (Walker) 1, 3 (2) Star Pronto 2, 4 (4) Betterwin 3. . Won by two and a halt lengths. OAMARU RACES. SUCCESS FOR EN WOOD. OAMARU, This Day. The Oamaru Jockey Club concluded a very successful autumn meeting on Saturday, when it was favoured by bright sunshine. The day was an Anniversary holiday in Otago, and the attendance was extra large, Dunedin sending a large contingent. The totalisator on the single pool system handled £16,508 10s for the meeting, the first day total being £6567 and the second day £9941 10s. At the 1934 meeting the figures were-.—First day, £7673; second day, £7484; total, £15,157. Concluding results : Waikaura Trot Handicap, of 95 sovs; one mile and a quarter—l2 Trinidad scr (D. MANAWATU RACING CLUB. COTTESMORE SUCCESSFUL. PALMERSTON NORTH, March 23. The Manawatu Racing Club's autumn meeting was concluded in fine but overcast weather. There was a good attendance, and the track was in perfect order. The totalisator handled £14,194 10s, against £Blßßlos. The total for the meeting was £26,285, compared with £17,603 10s, an increase of £B6BI 10s.

Concluding results: — Stonyhurst Handicap, of 125 sovs ; seven furlongs.—7 Ruri (Duncan) 1, 2 Cyclonic 2, 8 Pomp 3. Won by a short neck ecch way. Time, 1.27 2-5. Sires' Produce Stakes, of 300 sovs; seven furlongs.—2 Legatee (Reed) 1, 3 Severe 2, 1 Heritage 3. Won by a short head. Time, 1.27 4-5. Longburn Hack Handicap, of 110 sovs; seven furlongs.—2 Jubilee Song (Jenkins) 1, 13 Leprechaun 2, 1 State Bank 3. Won by a length and a half. Time, 1.27 1-5. Telegraph Handicap, of 135 sovs; six furlongs.—2 Cottesmore (W. J. Broughton) 1, 4 Souchong and 5 Mati Hari (dead heat) 2. Won bv a short head. Time, 1.13. BAY OF- PLENTY. FIRST LAP WINS CUP. TAURANGA, March 23. The Bay of Plenty Jockey Club's annual meeting, was opened to-day in fine weather. The track was in good order. The totalisator handled £13,361 10s, compared with £10,348 10s, on the first day last year. Results: Trial Plate, of 60 sovs; five furlongs —2-2 Polly Douglas 1, 5-4 Blue Needle 2, 11-12 Miss Hornet 3. Won by three lengths. Time, 1.1 1-5. Mount Hack Handicap, of 80 sovs; six furlongs—-1-3 Astarth 1, 6-6 Royal Secret 2, 7-7 King Oolussus 3. Won by half a, length, a length between second and third. Time, 1.14 2-s'. THE MOONEE VALLEY MEETING. EASTER. CHIEF WINS. MELBOURNE, March 23. The Moonee Valley meeting was held to-day. The principal event resulted as follows: — Moonee Ponds Handicap, of 775 sovs; one mile and a half—Eastern Chief 8.9 (K. Voitre) 1, Nellie's Tip 8.1 2, Prismatic 8.9 3. There were 11 starters. Won by a head, with the third horse a head away. Voitre literally lifted Eastern Chief to victory, after a magnificent finish between four horses. Time, 2,33£. Ruling Light finished third in the second division of the Sherwood Highweight Handicap, in which Irish Chieftain was unplaced.

RACING AT RANDWICK PETER PAN'S SUCCESS. SYDNEY, March 23. City Tattersall's Club held its meeting at Randwick to-day. The weather was'fine, and there was a large attendance. Peter Pan, by his success in the Randwick Stakes, brought his total winnings up to £27,830. The following are the results of the principal events:— Randwick Stakes, of 350 soys; weight-for-age, with allowances; one mile—Peter Pan 9.1 (J. Pike) 1, Silver King 8.1 2, Journal 8.11 3. There were eight starters. Silver King made the pace, but Peter Pan took charge at the distance and won by a length, with Journal a length and three-quarters away. Rogilla was fourth and Kuvera sixth. Time, 1.363. Peter Pan ran the last half-mile in 46|sec..

Dennian Handicap, of 300 sovs; six furlongs—Roman Spear 8.3 (J. Zensky) 1, Myra Tip 7.10 2, Tom Pinch 8.3 3. There were 16 starters, including Blixten and Golden Gate. Half-heads separated the placed horses. Carefree was close up fourth, while Blixten finished ninth. Time, 1.12}. '

City TatfcersalJ's Cup, of 550 sovs; one mile and three furlongs—Fairoio 6.10 (A. Ward) 1, First Balloon 7.8 2, Limyris 8.4 3. There were nine starters. Won by a head, with the third horse half a length away. Time, 2.213.

Mr G. N. Magill's three-year-old colt Limoux, by Limond—White Tulip, won the first division of the Novice Handicap, in which Cockpen was unplaced. Diamond and Two No Trumps were unplaced in the second division. Viceroy was unplaced in the Youthful Stakes, won by Fanfare. Senior and Prince Pombal were unplaced in the Club Welter, won by Prowler.
