NEW AEROPLANES.

EIGHT FOR AUSTRALIA. LONDON, March 5. For New England Airways two fourseater Monospars will be sent to Australia, on March 15 and another later in March. Five 12-seaters which will be shipped in August and October, will be fitted with American Pratt and Whitney Wasp engines. The two four-pas,senger Monospars now being shipped will probably be used to start the pi’oposed service between Brisbane and Townsville. They have a cruising speed of* 144 miles an hour. The third aeroplane of this type may be used to “test out” the service the company proposes to start between Sydney and Melbourne. The larger 10passenger or 12-passenger Monospar air-liners, which are said to have a top speed of 210 miles an hour, and to cruise at 180 miles an hour, will be used eventually on a Sydney-Melbourne Adelaide air line.
