ATTEMPT TO BLOW UP TANKS. (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, November 12. Before Mr J. L. Stout, S.M., m the Magistrate's Court at Palmerston North to-day, Leonard Charles Martin aged 37, described as a baker, ot Foxton, was charged that, on November 10. at Foxton, he placed gelignite in a tank with intent to destroy the tank. ... A second charge, withdrawn at the request of the police, was that accused committed mischief by wilfully damaging a tank, the property of Edwin Few. Accused was remanded to appear at Palmerston North on Friday.
