Lamb Market—Very firm with consumption good. Mutton market—Wethers also very firm with good demand. Ewes also meeting with more inquiry at better prices. Beef market— Unchanged, but there is a little more inquiry. New Zealand porker pigs—Dull, with small trade. New Zealand baconer pigs—Market steady, and unchanged.
RETAIL PRICES IN LONDON. The New Zealand Meat Producers' Board has been advised by its London manager that the following retail prices were quoted for New* Zealand lamb and mutton retailed in London during May. These prices represent a fair average of the, prices quoted by the better class shops in London for the best quality New Zealand lamb and mutton:— , Lamb.—Legs lOd lb, shoulders 9d, loins 9d, necks 4d, breasts 3d, forequarters 7d, hindquarters 9d. Mutton (wethers)— Legs Bd, shoulders 7d, loins 7d, necks 3d, breasts 2d.
DAIRY PRODUCE. ' THE LONDON MARKET. The New Zealand Dairy Produce Board has received the following market report from its London office dated June 16:— Buitter. New Zealand, salted 90s-82s to 83s, unsalted 84s to 86s; the price 80s to 82s equals approximately 91d f.o.b. Australian—Salted 79s to 81s, unsalted 80s to 84s. Irish—Creamery, salted 82s, unsalted 84s. Danish—7ls f.0.b., 91s to 92s spot. Dutch—Unsalted 88s to 925. Esthonian—Salted and unsalted 80s to 82s. Latvian—Salted and unsalted 79s to 81s. Lithuanian—Salted and unsalted /9s to 80s. The market is quiet,. Retail prices are unchanged. New Zealand lOd, Danish lid and Is. Cheese. New Zealnd—White 48s-48s 6d to 49s (equals s\d f.0.b.): coloured 53s to 54s (s|d lb f.0.b.) Deliveries 20,643 crates; in store 124,707 crates. Australian—White 475, coloured 50s to 525. Canadian—White 66s to 68s, coloured c.i.f. 555. English—Finest farmers' 80s to 103 s. The market is quiet. New Zealand retail price unchanged at 6d. The board has also received the following advice from its agents in Canada: Butter, New York 22* cents, Montreal 19 cents.
