MARRIED MEN'S CAMPS OPPOSED PROPOSED DEMONSTRATION (Per Press Association). CHRISTCHUROH, This Day. The acting-Minister of Railways has notified the Christchurch Unemployment Committee that the department is unable to carry coal free from the West Coast to Christehurch for the unemployed. The committee has decided to approach the Unemployment Board. A mass meeting of unemployed to protest against compulsory camps \ for married men will be held at Latimer Square at 11 o'clock to-morrow morning. The organisers, who have been arranging a demonstration for some time, endeavoured' to keep the matter secret. During the week-end job- delegates met to comnlete arrangements. They expect all unemployed in and about the city to leave their jobs to take part.
