ASCOT MEETING ENDS

A RECORD AND COINCIDENCE.

THREE WINNERS AS IN 1932.

FIFTH CONSECUTIVE SUCCESS. v United Press Association—Copyright). (Received This Day, 11 a.m.) LONDON, June 16. The Ascot race meeting ended in a blaze of sunshine. A remarkable coincidence was that the King's horse, Limelight, Sir Cunliffe Owen's Concerto, and Mr Wernher's Brown Jack were all winners on the last day, as they were in 1932. The King's victory in the Hardwick Stakes was particularly popular, as his Majesty said himself, "It is a good wind-up to a week's racing."

Brown Jack Avon the Alexandra Stakes for the fifth time in succession, ridden by Steve Donoghue. This is a record for the turf.
