S. G. McDougall and H. Black (Dunedin), 7-o, 7-5. Malfroy and Miss White (Dunedin) beat E. G. Boddy and Miss M. Pattison (Dunedin) 8-6, 6-2. THE TE MARAE CLUB. The Te Marae Lawn Tennis Club closed its season on Saturday afternoon, when there was a large.attendance of members, as well as representatives of other clubs. A number of friendly matches were played, and some of the club competitions were completed. The concluding events in the competitions resulted as follow: Women's Singles Handicap—Miss E. Meredith (owe 30 3-6) beat Miss J. Bmith (owe 15 4-6) 9-3. Women's Doubles Handicap.—Misses Meredith and B. Anderson (owe 30) beat Misses I. Dahlberg and J. Meeking (owe 15 3-6) 9-4. Men's Junior Championship Singles. —W. Corbett beat A. C. Johnson 9-7, 6-2, Men's Senior Championship Doubles. —-E. Bryant and W. Watkins beat A. D. Smith and H. Taylor 7-5, 6-8, 6-3. BARING SQUARE CLUB. The Baring Square Methodist Tennis Club closed its season on Saturday afternoon. There was a good attendance of members, and during the afternoon a match was played between teams chosen by the captain and vicecaptain, the first-named winning by a good margin.
