Herriot has resigned the Mayoralty of Lyons in consequence of a % sweeping Socialist victory at the primary elections for Senators representing the Rhone Department. The victory of the Socialists was due to the breaking Tip of the old .alliance with the Radical Socialists, of which M. Herriot was leader.
