Pedro Cadeotti, Argentine's most noted swimmer, set a new world's endurance record of 71 hours 55 minutes in the water. He. swam 211 miles in the Parana River, from Santa Fe to near Baradero. He had hoped to swim to Buenos Aires, a distance of 301, but the accompanying physician persuaded him to abandon the effort this, morning, when it became evident he could 1 not accomplish the objective.
