THE WEATHER.

TWO DEGREES OF FR-OST. After a pleasant day yesterday, the night turned! cold' and two degrees of frost were registered this morning. Conditions this morning were cool and pleasant but early in the afternoon the wind changed to the south-west and light rain fell for a few minutes. The barometric pressure at 9.30 a.m. was 29.70 inches, compared with 29.83 inches yesterday. Extremes of temperature yesterday were 63. G degrees and 44 degrees. TO-DAY'S FORECAST. The following official weather forecast was issued to-day:— Indications arc for northerly moderate winds, freshening and backing by west to south. The weather appeals likely to be cloudy and unsettled, with rain following, and will probably become colder shortly. There is a prospect of fair to cloudy weather. Tho barometer is rising.
