KILLED BY A MOTOR-CAR.
CORONER MAKES NO COMMENT.

The inquest into the death of Mr James Nesbit Mount was concluded today, when the evidence of Phillip Lyulph Parke, driver of the ear which struck deceased, was heard. He attributed the accident to his view being blocked by a lorry, his going out to the side of the road to avoid a tail swing of the lorry, and a tyre coming off when he turned sharply to avoid deceased.
The Coroner (Mr J. Salek) returned a verdict that deceased died as a result of injuries received through being struck by a motor-car driven by Darke. In doing so he said ho did not propose to make any comment on the evidence.
SERIOUSLY INJURED. STRUCK AND DRAGGED BY CAR. TTMARU, This Day. Through being struck by a passing motor-car in'Stafford Street, Mr W. T. D. Rievell, accountant and ex-presi-dent of the New Zealand Accountants' Association, sustained serious injuries, being dragged under the car*" 20 feet. Ho sustained a compound fracture ofi a thigh and injuries to his head. He was removed to a private hospital.
KILLED BY FALL OVER CLIFF.
'DUNEDIN, This Day
Mr Thomas Stinson, a married mid-del-aged resident of Dunodin, fell over a 250 foot cliff on Karitano Peninsula, yesterday, dying instaneously. Deceased was a storeman in the National Mortgage and Agency Company. Accompanied by his wife and friends he was walking on the edge of the cliff when he slipped and fell to the rocks below.
SUDDEN DEATH AT MAYFIELD. A single, man, Mr Frederick Sacht3cr, a labourer, of Mayfield, aged 55, and commonly known as Fred. Douglas, dropped dead' when walking out of the Showgrounds after the Mayfield Show on Saturday. Heart failure is understood to be the cause of death. An inquest will be held.
