ANOTHER SERIOUSLY INJURED.
'PLANE STRIKES FLAG POLE

During a flight over the city yesterday morning, heavy rain made visibility bad, and an aeroplane, when crossing Vaucluse Heights, struck a flagstaff and tore off a wiiig. Captain Osmond Jolley, a well-known aviator, wso was a passenger, was killed, and the pilot, Reginald Robin scon, had his skull fractured! and is in a critical condition.
Captain Jolley, who was 40 yeai's of age, was with 'D'egaris-, the first local business man to realise 10 years ago, the possibilities of aeroplanes in practical commerce. He had flown from Tamworth, but in crossing the harbour a Winding rain squall enveloped the 'plane, and the pilot tried to get under the clouds. He hit a flag pole at Steel Point and crashed close to the water's edge. - ••: . \
