SEQUEL TO N.S.W. FLOODS.
BOGGED IN HEAVY BLACK SOIL

Many sheep are bogged in the heavy blaek soil of the Narrabri district, following the floods. They are being killed because release is impossible. Three thousand were slaughtered on one station, and other graziers expect to be compelled to take similar action.

FIVE INCHES IN 55 MINUTES. (Received This. Day,. 10.35 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. More than 12 inches of rain fell at Gosford during the week-end. Shops and dwellings were flooded and wads washed away. \ Fve inches fell in 55 minutes at Greta yesterday morning.
A LARGE AREA INUNDATED. '
. * SYDNEY, March 15. There are serious floods in the coastal districts. Gosford has been inundated. Widespread rains soaked large areas inland, and the metropolitan district was drenched throughout the * night, heavy downpours continuing to-day.
