GALA CUP COMPETITION. The Mid-Canterbury Lawn Tennis Sub-Association's senior Gala Cup Championships were played on the Ashburton Club's courts to-day. Perfect weather prevailed, and the lawns were in good condition. The following games had been decided' up to the timo of going to press. lien's Singles.—J. Todd beat A. Stanley 6-4, 6-3; L. Sullivan beat L. R, Clarke, 6-3, 0-7 ;'M. Heenan beat W. Watkins 6-0, 6-2 ; C. A. Cuff beat E. Bryant 6-2. 6-3; Hobbs beat O. Bonniiigton 3-6. 6-0, 6-1. Junior Hen's Singles.—G.
