FINE SPELL CONTINUES.* 1 The spell of fine weather of the last few days was continued in Ashburton to-dav/ Conditions this morning, were fine and pleasant and there was a light breeze all day. The barometric pressure at 9.30 n.m. showed a rise of over an inch compared with that of yesterday. The readings wore 30.9 inches and 29.79 inches. The maximum temperature yesterday was 72.3 degrees and the minimum 51 degrees. TO-DAY’S FORECAST. The foPowing official weather forecast was issued to-day:— Indications are for variable and moderate southerly winds _ prevailing. There is a nrospect of fair weather. The night will probably he very cold, with frosts inland. The barometer has little movement. ;
