PULVERISED COAL.

ECONOMY ON A STEAMER. . (United Press Association —Copyright.) (Received This Day, 10.25 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. . By burning pulverised coal, it is claimed, a saving of £2O daily is effected in running costs of the new German freighter Stassfurt, of the Hamburg-Amerika Line, which has reached Sydney on her maiden yoyage. -Her sister ship, the Bitterfield, burning ordinary coal, carries 10 more firemen and consumes more fuel. In future the Stassfurt will use Australian coal for the return journey. It is understood that the Manly Ferries will install plants and use pulverised coal.
