STEAMER IN DISTRESS.
VESSELS GO TO HER AID. (United Presß 'Association—Copyright.) VANCOUVER, January 18. The British freighter, North Pacific, sent out S.O.S. messages when 320 miles south-west of 'Flattery. Several ships are hastening to her aid, and Will probably arrive early on Sunday. She has fo'rtvi of a crew and is en route to Auckland from Vancouver, via Honolulu.
