BOWLING.

DOMINION TOURNAMENT. RINKS CHAMPIONSHIP. (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, January 18. The Dominion of New Zealand Bowlin Association was favoured with splendid weather to-day, when the annual tournament was continued. The sun shone brightly throughout the day, and though the wind was in evidence it was not strong enough to intertere with the play. The greens made a splendid recovery after the heavy ram on' Friday, and were in splendid condition. The day was devoted to the rinks competition, with which good progress was made. As a result of the time lost on Friday the programme was slightly altered. Each game was confined to 21 heads instead of 2o as originally provided, and a time limit of three h6urs was fixed. Three rounds were got off during the day, and the position at present is that only about half of the first game lias to be finished to bring the programme up to schedule rime. The tournament will be continued on Monday when the rinks competition will be advanced a stage further. The fifth and sixth rounds will be proceeded with, and the remainder of the first game which was interrupted on Friday, will be plajed subsequently. .
