MATCHES IN BRITAIN. LONDON, January 19. In the billiards match, Walter Lindrum has scored 15.600, including breaks of 1761 and 502. Davis, in play, 12,074, including breaks of 620 and 634. Clark McConachy, 23.107, including
breaks of 491 and' 444, beat Smith, 22,GCG, including breaks of 526 and 510. There was a keen finish, the Yoi'kshireman fighting to the' last. He was within 150 of McConachy in the afternoon. A feature of Lindrum's match was his thirty-third four-figure break when he compiled 1761 in 83 minutes, including 71 close cannons.
