At the poisoning trial of Maiia Smith", on a charge of murdering her 23-yenr-old sen, there was a dramatic «ce'ne when the Judge thundered: "Stop lying! Tell the. truth! Did you know that the n/foWife, Susan Fazekas, was poisoning youn son?" Szendi was terrilfied, wavered, then confessed: "We cooked a nice supper and nut arsenic in. I paid Susan Fazekas '£.2. Mv son died." She then told how it took three doses of arsenic in food to kill her'husband. The Judge: What did you pay that time ?
Szendi: Nothing. I refused to pay
