A FAMILY PLIGHT.

(Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, January 15

A house at Takanini, occupied by Mr, Christiansen, his wife and two children, was destroyed by lire early this morning. A gill aged 13 aroused her lather, who found the kitchen ablaze. Mrs Christiansen seized a child, aged two and rushed on to the verandah. All escaped without injury. The contents were a total loss.
