YACHT LOSES SAILS.
DAMAGE IN COOK STRAIT. (Special to the “Guardian.”) WELLINGTON, Dec. 28. While the Wellington yacht Viola was returning from Queen Charlotte Sound yesterday morning, a heavy southerly was encountered. All the sails were carried away, and the yacht had to return to Victor for repairs. Linnett did not leave for Wellington' owing to the weather.
