PERSONAL.

Mr E. R. Truman, who has been the rural mail contractor in the Willowby, Hinds and Lowclift'e districts for the last four years, was entertained at a social in the Lowcliffe School. Mr Moffatt (Eiffelton) was in the chair. There wqs a large attendance of residents froju. the surrounding districts. Messrs Tait (Lowcliffe), (Dell (Lynnford), and Brown (Coldstream) spoke in appreciative manner of the good service Mr Truman had rendered during his terni as mail contractor. Mr H. Watts (Willowby) then presented Mr and Mrs Truman with a -well-filled wallet, Mr Truman suitably replying.
