FROM BRITAIN TO CONTINENT. TRAVELLERS DURING THE YEAR. (United Press Association—Copyright.) (Received This Day, 12.15 p.m.) LONDON, December 26. Over 50,000 people have travelled from Croydon to the Continent by air during 1928. This is a record since the inception of the service m 1919. Over 30,000 flew by British air lines. The majority of the air travellers were women. . An Imperial Airways official says that one of the most satisfactory recent features in the number of business people now realising to what extent airways save valuable time.—Australian Press Association, United Service.
