THE WEATHER.

IMPROVED CONDITIONS. Despite the large bank of thin clouds that covered the sky this morning, pleasant conditions were experienced. The sun shone faintly through the clouds thraughout to-day and the atmosphere was warm. The barometer reading at nine o'clock this morning was 30.17 inches, compared with 30.15 vesterday. The maximum and minimum temperatures vesterday were 59 and 47 degrees as against 76 and 49 on Tuesday. TO-DAY'S FORECAST. The following official forecast was issued to-day:— The indications are for easterly winds moderate to strong, backing by east to north. There is a prospect of fair to cloudy weather, with scattered showers, but will probably become warmer. Barometer has a falling tendency.
