STOCKTON MINE IDLE.
TROUBLE OVER EMPLOYMENT.
(Per Press Association.) WESTPORT, March 29. The Stockton coal mine is idle as a result of a dispute between the miners and the' management over the employment of some men. The management having, it is alleged, given preference to some late comers, while the miners contend that men unemployed and waiting ;n the district should have been first .considered. Apparently all was j right on Friday) to resume work to-day, bift the hitch occurred on Saturday. J The mine is still idle.
