The New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club's Summer meeting was held at Addingtou on Saturday. The weather was firie, though a cold wind made the conditions somewhat unpleasant. The attendance was up to the average for the club's off meeting, but speculation was not so brisk as usual, the totalisator. investments being £27,844 10s, compared with £34,726 10s last vear. Concluding results:—

Cashmere Handicap; (in harness) 400 sovs. Two miles —Master Audo 1, Kelman. 2, Nighborn 3. Won by six lengths. Time, 4min 40 4-ssec.

Juvenile Handicap; of 350 sovs— Native Chief 1, Avenger 2, Rosethorne 3. Won by ten lengths. Time, 3mih 40 2-ssec.

Liverpool Handicap; (in harness) of 300 sovs. Two miles—St. Maura 1, Yenot 2, Cardinal Logan 3. Won by a head. Time, 4min 35sec.

Craven Handicap; (in harness); of 350 sovs.. One mile and a quarter.— Dillon Wilkes 1, Main Voyage 2, Gleaming 3. Won by a neck. Time, 2min 45 3-ssec.

TARANAK! JOCKEY CLUB. NEW PLYMOUTH, Feb. 14. The Taranaki Jockey Club's meeting was concluded in fin© weather. The going was good and there was a large attendance. The totalisator handled £28,134, compared with £32,758 10s on. the same day last year, a decrease of £4624 10s, making a total for the meeting of £55,249, compared with £60,329 10s last year. Results: —

Stewards' Handicap; six furlongs.— Irapuka 1, Papaponga 2, Pouma 3. Won by two lengths. Time, 1.15. Twelfth Taranaki Stakes; six furlongs—Motley I, Oration 2, Lady Cavendish 3. Won by a nose. Time, 1.14 3-5.

Paul Memorial Handicap; one mile and a-quarter.—lmperial Spark 1, Yoma 2, Income 3. Won by half a length. Time, 2.12. Urenui Electric Handicap; seven furlongs.—Sovena 1, Paitonui 2, Royal Mint 3. Won by -two lengths. Time, 1.30 2-5.

Nursery Handicap; five furlongs— Seatown. 1, Atone 2, Bahyi Bun 3. Won by four lengths. Time, 1.2 2-5. Omata Hack Handicap; six furlongs. —Benzora 1, Argue 2, Horomea 3. Won by three lengths. Time, 1.15.

DUNEDIN JOCKEY CLUB. DUNEDIN, Feb. 14. The second day of the Dunedin Jockey Club's meeting was held in mild weather, with occasional showers, which, however, did not interfere witli the pleasure of the meeting. The totalisator handled £41,807 10s, against £38,742 om the corresponding day last vear. The total was £88,550 10s, against £65,929 10s last year. Concluding results:— Waihola Handicap, of 250 sovs; six furlongs.—Rob 1, Soltoe 2, Pink Note 3. Won bv four lengths. Time, 1.17 3-5.

Hazlett Memorial Plate, of 600 sovs; one mile.—Glentruin 1, Count Cavour 2, Circulation 3. Won by half a length. Time, 1.43. Abbotsford Welter Handicap ; seven furlongs.—Valdamo and The Harp (dead heat) 1, The Cheat 3. The third horse was a length and a-half away. Time, 1.31 2-5.

THE DEMURE CASE. CONDITIONS OF LEASE NOT " COMPLIED WITH. WANGANUI, Feb. 13. After a hearing extending into the third day, finality was reached in the civil action at the Supreme Court today in which William Mitchell sought to recover £2350 damages from Duncan Lourie in connection with the racehorse Demure, which he leased. Subsequently defendant seized the horse, alleging that the conditions of the lease were not being fulfilled. Mr Justice McGregor, after, commenting on the unsatisfactory evidence given by both parties, held that the conditions of the lease had not been complied with and gave judgment for defendant.
