AUSTRALIAN WOOL SALES. PRICES WELL MAINTAINED. (Per Press Association—Copyright.) (Received This Day, 10.25 a.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. The October series of wool sales has closed. All the best features of the week were reproduced with keen, animated competition. Late rates were well maintained. The fourth series of wool sales at Brisbane has concluded. Competition was keen and well sustained. Prices compared with those of the last series generally advanced 5 to 10 jjer cent.
PRODUCE IN MELBOURNE. MELBOURNE, This Day. Wheat—Nominal, 6s 2d. Oats—Milling 4s 6d; feed 4s to 4s 2d. Barley—English, 5s 7Jd ; Cape, 4s 6d. Potatoes—£ls to £l6. Onions—£23 10s to £24. THE ANTWERP WOOL SALES. ] (Received This Dav, 11.35 a.m.) LONDON, October 22. At the Antwerp wool sales 4554 bales were offered, 1623 sold. Merinos and fine crossbred were 10 per cent, above July rates, and coarse, crossbreds 15. There wore large withdrawals duo largely to high reserves.
