STEAMER FROZEN IN THE ICE. FREED WITH BROKEN PROPELLER (Per Press Association —Copyright.) (Received This Day, 9.30 a.m) OSLO, October 22. Members of Algarsson’s expedition have arrived at Tromsoe. Their steamer was frozen into the ice off Franz Joseph Land, and was freed, after a great struggle, .with her propeller broken. She managed to make a southward course with the aid of sails until she arrived off Green Harbour, Spitzbergen, where she was taken in tow for Tromsoe. . .
The expedition found conditions in tlie Arctic more difficult than was expected. The expedition will he renewed in 1926.
