mm ) The facts and figures in this advertisement are from an article on Manure Tests by Messrs. P. E. Ward, H.D.A., and A. W. Hudson, B.Agr., B.Sc, which appeared in the "N.Z. Journal of Agriculture," June 20th, 1926. The value of the hay has been based on the nominal figure of £5 per ton. Should this be considered too great, the substitution of a reasonably lower figure will still show handsome profits from top-dressing with "Rockland" Superphosphate. The increases due to the second application, however, have not been so great as those due to the first dressing. With the aid of a damp growing season in 1924 the residual effect of the 1923 manures was very evident. 5.-—As instanced by the grazing during the winter and early spring of 1924, the manures have had a decided effect on the palatability of tim pastures. 6.—The enhanced fertility due to the mom vigorous development of clovers which generally accompanies "Rockland" Superphosphate manuring must be considerable, although its actual value can* not be measured. 7.—The belated effect of the 1923 dressings indicates that, owing to the possibility of dry-weather conditions, top-dressing should be done in the viia~ ter rather than in the early spring. , T4u;rj.im4-.u Si If 4:?:1 for 'Rockland' Superphosphate should be placed without delay "ROCKLAND " Superphosphate is procurable through all Stock and Station Agents and Produce Merchants.
