AMUNDSEN'S EXPEDITION
AN EXCITING VOYAGE. (Per Press Association—Copyright.) LONDON, April 14... Captain Roald Amundsen, in the ship Hobby, arrived at King Bay, Spitzbergen, after an exciting voyage, owing to a stiff breeze and heavy seas, which washed against the case containing the aeroplane wings, which lay across the forward hatch, projecting a yard over each end l of the ship. Several times the Hobby had 1 to heave-to to reinforce the fastenings.. Captain Amundsen stated:—“l am pleased ; to see the ’planes and pilots safe.”’
