MAYFIELD SHOW.
SATURDAY’S FIXTURE. The annual show of the Mayfield A. and P. Association is to take place on Saturday. The number of entries received exceeds last year’s total by over 500, or 1788 as against 1270. In 1921 the total was 1417, and in 1920, 628. It will he seen that the Mayfield Association has made rapid progress during the four years it has been in operation. The most noteworthy increases are in the sheep division and produce and home industries, while greater interest seems to have been taken in the juvenile classes this year Many of the successful exhibitors at Methven ' last week are competing, and the majority of the classes, particularly in the horse and sheep divisions, should he keenly contested. A special ’bus service is being run from Ashburton, and seats may be obtained at moderate charges. Given fine weather, this year’s fixture should prove the most successful m the annals of the association.
