The Lowcliffe Band of Hope held its monthly meeting m the school on Friday last. There was a large attendance, presided' over by. the leader, Mr N. Rodgers.. Pledge cards were given to those who had signed, the pledge at the previous, meeting,. The chairman gave a short, address, and. afterwards a short programme was, rendered, the following contributing, items : — Recitations, Mass Jewell, Miaa M Jewell, and. Mr B. William B ; dialogue, Misses E. McKeage, K. Jewell, and Mr B. I'ord.. The ladies then handed round supper, after which games were indulged m by the young people.
