WOOL REALISATION SCHEME.
(Per Press Association.') WELLINGTON, January 28. The Prime Minister, on being asked what was the present position m respect to wool realisation, said that communications were still passing between the New Zealand Government High Commissioner and the Imperial authorities, and an early conclusion to these is anticipated. The matter could quite well have been fixed by now but for the fact that the Government is particularly desirous of safeguarding the interests of New Zealand m every direction, and it is largely m connection with the provision of these safeguards that the present negotiations are taking place. Having a full realisation .of the Imperial Government's, good feeling towards the Dominion.' there was every hope that the safe-^ guards considered necessary will be provided for.
