STRIKE ACTION CONDEMNED. (Per Press Aenociation Copyright.) (Received January 29, 11.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Mr Blakely, president of the Australian Workers' Union Conference, stated that his organisation favoured 'arbi- N tration m preference to strike action by 16,138 votes to 10,157. He added that those advocating the strike were unintentionally selling the workers and betraying Unionism. Some preached that emacipation could be achieved only through blood and fire, but ballots were better than bullets.
