rUESULT OF THE INQUEST. :^fc*" (Per 'Press Association.) CARTERTON, December 1. ' The adjourned inquest on the victim of the tragedy at'Carterton on Saturday November 22, when a man named Anthony Rzoska was shot by Frederick Thompson, succumbing to his injuries at the hospital on the following Monday, was resumed at Carterton today before the district Coroner, Mr E, G. Eton. Senior-Sergeant McNamara, Wellington, appeared for the police. Accused was represented by 'Mi' A. F. Hogg, Carterton. Evidence was given that the men ihad been drinking slightly during Saturday afternoon and Thompson and llzoska quarrelled in the former's iw-hare Rzoska pulled off his coat, 'apparently to fight. Thompson told "him ito get out. Rzoska advanced a step, r A revolver shot was heard and Rzoska fell on the floor, breeding from the neck. Thompson asked that the police should be brought at once, remarking jthat ho had "dropped the -.He's 'done; he's settled." The two men were working mates employed by the iWairarapa South County Council. Evi--1 aence was given by Jacob Rzoska (cousin of the victim), John Rzoska (brother), Edward Crosilant, Dr Tweed fcmd'-.the police.
