EXPLOSION IN CORK.

WHOLE CITY SHAKEN

(Received Sept. 28, 9.50 a.m.) LONDON, September 27. A big explosion .occurred in the centre of Cork at 2 o'clock this morning. It-shook the whole,city. Rifle and ma-chine-gun, fire followed. A search by ike-military .authorities disclosed that -the front of a large drape'jy shop in -Patrick Street had been demolished. The military state that a bomb had been placed inside 1 the window.
