CONCLUDING EVENTS
CHRISTCHURCH, August 9. The New Zealand Metropolitan-Trot-ting Club's August meeting was commenced at Addington yesterday. Considering iihe state of the weather, the attendance was very satisfactory. The tofcalisator investments were- £36,887,' compared with £31.852 10s on the corresponding day last year. Concluding results:— Selwyn Handicap—Nancy Stair 1, G. M. J>iL:k>n 2; Rorke's Drift 3.
