BARING SQUARE CHOIR

The annual meeting of the Baring Souaro Methodist Choir was held in the Parsonaeo last evening, the Rev. J. Vealie presiding over an attendance of about 30-members.

The annual report and balance-sheet were read and adopted. The latter showed a credit balance of £22 4s.

The election of office-bearers resulted

as follows:—Choirmaster, Mr H. A. Humphreys';- secretary and treasurer, Mr W. H. Hijrgins; librarians, Misses E. Pollock and D. Moore; pianiste, Mrs W. H. Higgins; committee, Mes.dames Bonnington and Dunham, Miss. Prentice. -Msssrs: Wish'art,.; Judge, Carter. Keir. nnd Brown. A "social committee was also appointed. A vote of thanks was accorded Mr C. Brown, who had acted aft conductor during: the past year. Several matters in connection with the choir were discussed, and musical items were subsequently contributed. Members of the choir, were afterwards hospitably entertained by Mr and Mrs Vealie. who were accorded a hearty vote of thanks. i
