HOSPITAL'S NEEDS. Sir,—Re your leader on Hospital Day in the "Guardian" of \M;iy 14: I should like to mention two' things that the Ashburton Hospital is . badly in want of —first, a dispensary; 'secondly,, an X-Ray apparatus. Both these in a hospital of the present day are ureent necessities. At the present time patients needing X-R;iying have either to be sent to Christehureh or to a private doctor's residence. T am sure if the public in general knew th«t'thepip. and other necessary, things worn required, the necessary funds would soon be subscribed for the purchase thereof. RETURNED SOLDIER.
