There is no doubt that hard times are coming for Now Zealand, though not as hard as for other countries: bub New Zealand' is not going to avoid the .effect* of the war. When those 1* hard times come, pressure will tindoubtedly be brought to bear to curtail oxnenditure. Now I personally do not believe in any attempt to curtail fl-xwuditiire-• by cutting down wages..
